Relics are either used by storing them within a colonists storage & they will just work.

Relics are special items that can be occasionally found while exploring the Star System, or buying from traders. Most relics and their benefits are applied by equipping them into a colonist's inventory where their effects take place on the equipped colonist until removed. Some Relics instead require the use of a context command through ordering or drafting a colonist to use the item on a target.
Some of the Relics will grant the option for a context when you try to draft an action.

This is just a quick page to explain how to use the Relics

Encyclopedia Increases all skill experience by 5% (stacks)
Cosmic Bread Reduces hunger need by 100%
Matter Refrabricator Colonist poos out whatever they last ate (can be anything edible)
Speedy Shoes Increases movement speed equivalent to 20 levels (stacks)
Old Pick Increases miner experience by 20% (stacks)
Old Blueprint Increases builder experience by 20% (stacks)
